Spirit Summoning

Materials

First Spirit Receptacle is a necessity.

Second component is a sufficient amount of moonlight - the more, the easier is the summoning. Technically, this is possible on any day other than a new moon, but a full moon is much more effective.

Third component is the avatar for the spirit to control. it has to be made for the specific spirit, e. g. a sword devil may require a corpse of an animal stabbed with a sword, but a gemstone fairy would need a gemstone inside of a large rock or a pile of plants sprinkled with diamond dust.

The final component is the offering to the spirit, usually mana in large amounts, but in case of particulary powerful ones, sacrificing ones Well may be required. Aside from the offering, no other components are consumed, but the avatar may wear off in use.

Casting

The recepticle is placed directly under moonlight or in a specialised lensing structure. Then, after being provided with mana, the amount of moonlight increases until it's inside becomes a space in both realities - Ferdlan and the Inner Plane corresponding to the moon. The caller and his helpers then make an offering/bait. When the spirit arrives, a contract is established that satisfies both parties. The spirit allows itself to be trapped in the box until the contract is fulfilled. Powering it is then taken over by the spirit. Once trapped, the spirit will posses the avatar and do its best to fulfill the contract. Sprits are compelled to respect a once made agreement, even if they embody the concept of lies. If the material side of the pact breaks the it, the punishment is delivered by the higher spirits of the corresponding plane. That does not happen if a third party decides to break/open the box, which ends the summoning.

Effect

Traps a lesser spirits and enables it to act inside the material Ferdlan through a special puppet - an avatar.
