Legion
Legion is an elite academy located on a small island to the southeast of Ferox, that is only accessible through a massive bridge that is guarded by the Ulgram Fortress, and is pretty much the only location on the continent with complete immunity from the jurisdiction of The Council and the Sovereign.
Legion's purpose is to recruit talented warriors, mages, alchemists, artificers, and more. They place extra importance on those with unique and powerful Imperia, in order to develop their talents to the fullest extent. While most admissions begin at a young age, theoretically, anyone of any age could become a student.
The staff at Legion is composed of only the most accomplished and talented individuals in Ferox. This includes Trial survivors, renowned adventurers, and alumni of the academy itself. Becoming part of the Legion’s staff, no matter how mundane your job may be, is even more difficult than becoming a student.
Those admitted to Legion as students will have access to virtually any resource in order to assist with their studies, and receive exceedingly thorough and intense training for a wide variety of other skills to augment their education.
Students admitted to Legion pay for their education by giving Legion a cut of whatever they accomplish, both during their studies and after they graduate. Whether it be a reward from a job, sales from their products/inventions, or taking on specific tasks that Legion requests of them. The amount of money that Legion will take varies from individual to individual, but it is almost guaranteed to be extremely fair to the student/graduate, due to the fact that no matter what your profession may be, people will pay a premium for services provided by individuals associated with Legion.
In addition to taking a portion of their students’ earnings, Legion also makes money by taking on jobs with significant importance. These types of jobs are often highly dangerous or information-sensitive, and Legion will receive extremely large sums of money as a result.
