Political Primer
Politics can be messy and confusing by default and considering the time period and political structure most closely resembled by Fiore, it is even more so. For that reason and in the interest of keeping the game fun and not a deep dive into medieval politics and structure, a simple system will be used while allowing for more specifics should a player wish to engage in deeper roleplay. This means that the political structure defined here will be the basis of all monarchies in Fiore regardless of region or ethnicity. Typically, a noble will be the direct vassal of the noble above it in the list, but any title can instead be a direct vassal of the crown. Should this be the case they will answer directly to the crown and not have any other nobility above them. This typically would place them slightly higher than a similarly ranked title that has others between it and the crown, if only in renown.
The core power structure is as listed below, keep in mind that not all sovereign nations will have the full structure. The different stations will be listed as *male* / *female* - *domain*.
