Golden Heart Apple
Heart Fruit
You already know about the heart fruit
Oh, what’s that, you don’t? Well first of all, you should be paying better attention to the lore of our world, and secondly-
Well, you probably aren’t the only one who doesn’t know much about the heart fruit either. It’s a very rare fruit that only grows on trees of one of the Floaty Islands, that float around T@Ö#Ä3. Like many of them, this floaty island is very elusive and hard to get to, and even then it does float close enough to the main continent, it’s only really accessible from the Wasteland, and if you paid attention at all, you know not many people live there.
The only ones who have actually become aware of this floaty island and its heart fruits are bat people, and even they are considered more of a myth among the general population.
So if no one even knows for sure if bat people exist, then who’s to say if this hard fruit is even real at all then? Hmm? This would make it a pretty cool mythical fruit, wouldn’t it?
Probably, but what if I told you there is a fruit even more rare and even more mythical, to the point where even the bat people don’t exactly know if it’s real?
Golden Heart Apple
It is said that somewhere very deep in the forest of the heart apple island, or maybe on a different island even, that also grows heart apples, there is a very special tree that grows golden heart apples? That’s preposterous, you might say, and you might be right. Maybe.
As it always is with these things, this myth didn’t just come out of nowhere. There definitely are people who claim to have seen the tree growing the golden heart apples, and some who actually obtained the apple and maybe even ate it.
Ok so apart from being golden, what’s the deal with this apple? It’s not actually made of gold, it’s just golden on the outside. On the inside, it’s very similar to regular heart apples, but yet so much more fruity, juicy and delicious. People say that eating it feels like adding years to your life - it’s very refreshing and nutritious. Maybe that’s what it is, just a particularly refreshing and delicious heart apple, but at the very least, people who ate it insist that it’s capable of curing ailments, it might even be able to bring someone back from the dead, or better yet, make them completely immortal.
Now, if they could just somehow bring this apple back to the mainland, surely they could actually grow a tree from it, even here in the dry, dead and barren Wasteland. An apple like this, might even be able to revive this dead land and make the soil fertile again, allowing people to start growing some actual crop plants here and produce their own food.
So why haven’t they done that?
They surely would have, if this apple was real. Oh, it’s nice to dream about delicious fruits that could cure illness or even make the land fertile again, but even if there is a golden heart apple, it probably isn’t as magical as people wish to believe it to be. It might just be a rare kind of a regular heart apple, just, you know, a more golden in color. It might be. Or, it might all be real, we’ll never know until someone actually brings one of those apples back.
Why haven’t they actually? Everyone who talks about seeing it, appears to have just eaten it on the spot, and it was coincidentally just the only apple on the tree. I mean I’m not saying anything, if there is a golden tree it might just only grow one apple at a time to make it more special or whatever, but like, it’s very convenient, isn’t it? P_P
Anyway, here’s some photographic evidence of the golden heart apple existing:
