Tower of Origins
As if The Spire wasn't tall enough, at its peak sits the imposing Tower of Origins, which reaches further into the sky. They say that at the top sits the World's Heart, and that when the world is on the brink of destruction, a brave hero must climb the tower to regenerate the world.
Architecture
The tower is about 100 feet in diameter and made from blocks of grey stone. The lower levels merge seamlessly with the peak of the Spire. There is a single door in the lowest level, carved out of the rock of the mountain. Its small, has a rounded top, and a brass handle. Allegedly, it sits unlocked, as if waiting for someone to arrive.
History
The first humans reached the Land of Spirits in approximately 20,000 BR, by crossing the frozen strait from northern Cuyania. These were early hunter-gatherer groups, who set up fishing camps along the coast. The Tower was already there.
Who built it? Common consensus is that it was the Spirits. Certainly no human culture 20,000 years ago had the technology to build such a structure - no culture today would be capable of such a feat either! Rumours of its existence were mostly limited to northern Cuyania for most of history, until civilization reached a point where more exploration and travel happened. Though society was knocked down a few pegs after the First Reckoning, the legend of the tower at the top of the world endures. The tower itself has never changed, never shown sign of disrepair, and never visibly maintained.
