Avaequessir

Avaequessir is the one true ruler of Mompi. An Avaequessir is trained for years to take the throne, selected by a majority vote from The Council of Eight.
The Avaequessir works in service of the people, assuring that justice is served, peace is maintained and the culture and traditions of Mompi persevere. The Avaequessir answers to no one and has the final say in all political matters. However, if the person in power ever becomes corrupt or power hungry, a unanimous seven out of eight majority from the council will strip the Avaequessir of their power. Granting the council temporary power until a new Avaequessir may be selected.
