Ffolk (FOWK)

The Ffolk of the Moonshae Isles are descended from Tethyrian settlers who came to the isles a thousand years ago. The Ffolk have a deep respect for nature, and are primarily farmers, worshiping the goddess they call the Earthmother and keeping to old druidic ways. Ffolk shipwrights are well regarded, having proven their ability to build sturdy ships that are capable of weathering the tumultuous seas around their home.

Culture and cultural heritage

Modern Ffolk are mostly of Tethyrian origin, following a large Tethyrian immigration in 467 DR. This caused the Ffolk to lose much of their original racial heritage, although their culture is quite distinct from their mainland cousins and they held to a strong druidic tradition.   The Ffolk spend most of their time on peaceful pastimes such as farming, fishing, hunting, and trading. They are also accomplished shipbuilders, specializing in a type of ship that was designed to withstand some of the roughest seas.
