ToD: Session 49: Another call for adventure

General Summary

The party returned from their meeting with the metallic dragons and were asked where to send the draconic support they gathered. They told Otaaryliakkarnos 5 locations:

1. Ulder Ravengard: Baldur's Gate
2. Laeral Silverhand: Waterdeep
3. Connerad Brawnanvil: Mithral Hall
4. Dagult Neverember: Neverwinter
5. King Melandrach: Misty Forest

Otaaryliakkarnos dropped them off a few hours walking from Waterdeep and returned to her own duties. As the party where walking back they were approached by some folk with dark crimson robes and asked them to follow them to someone named Lord Volmer. The party followed these people to a large ominous looking tent and entered. Here they saw Lord Volmer; a Bone Devil who asked the party if they knew anything about Rath Modar. He also said that Rath is the leader of the splinter sect of Thay and that the leader of Thay; Szass Tam would want them all dead and that he could be an ally if they deliver him. The party told Volmer that he was probably located at the Well of Dragons. He then informed the party that if they were the ones to stop Tiamat they could earn "Powerful Friends" in the Nine Hells, and that not devils are split about Tiamat leaving. The party left Volmer and went further towards Waterdeep.
After entering the city the party went to the straight to the Palace of Waterdeep, but before they could arrive they were interupted by Delaan Winterhound asking them to go to the Misty Forest. He told that there have been sightings of a Green Dragon ridden by, probably a wyrmspeaker. And informed them of the village Altand where a dragon attack happened that did not destroy the entire settlement. The party agreed and went back to their home, and the Mermaid's Arms where Leo and Sidon gambled.
The next day on the backs of Solaire and Grace the Pegasus, they went to the Misty Forest. They arrived at Altand and it looked half-destroyed, after asking around they learned that nearly half the village died when the dragon swooped down during the first attack. Cult of the Dragon members were a part of the attack. Some people told that they saw a cultist riding atop the dragon. And that their new leader is Galin, who rallied the forces and was in the thick of the fighting but was unscathed. They also told that the attack only lasted a short while, and then the dragon retreated with cultists leaving everything behind. They then went to Galin to ask him more question, before they entered his building they were told that he recently lost his wife to the dragon. After asking him some questions they Grob knew he was hiding something about the attack, and that he saw the dragon kill his wife in the thick of battle.
They left his home and where starting to stake it out with the Ring of Invisibility. Late in the night Galin left his home and went to a spot where it looked like a dragon had landed multiple times. He waited there for half an hour and then went back to the village. Here Leo fake assasnated him to see if he was the Green Dragon. So he stabbed the pillow and Galin was shocked and insulted by the potential assassination and requested Leo to leave. The party then started sleeping in the center of town.
