Oakhurst

Oakhurst is a small town mostly consisting of well made mid and upper class homes. It is located near the outskirts of Neverwinter Wood. Oakhurst is an important trade stop on the New Road, which was constructed after the eruption of Mt Hotenow destroyed a part of the Old Road. The town is known for its Midsummer Festival, where a precious magical fruit is being sold every year.

Geography

There is not much to see in the immediate vicinity of Oakhurst, but its location still makes it a bustling community visited by many foreigners.
About 6 miles from Oakhurst lies Sunless Citadel, an ancient fortress swallowed by the ground after the eruption of Mt Hotenow, a volcano about 5 miles further.
A few miles northeast of Oakhurst are the vast Ashen Plains, a lifeless and desolated area. Legends tell that this was caused by the rampage of an ancient dragon a long time ago.
