Platinum Bulwark

This shield was commissioned by Kolranor Prexilmorev, a devout paladin, Lord of the Sapphire Pillar, and Regent of Relmaur for twelve years. When the king and queen were ruthlessly slain by expertly trained assassins sent by Melauthaur the Undying One, he founded the Elite Royal Guard of Relmaur and commissioned High Warden Melthandrius to create a shield of unrivaled magical power. Melthandrius labored for three years before finding success in using a primordial relic to create a shield of unparalleled brilliance, the Platinum Bulwark. Kolranor awarded the shield to the Knight Vigilant, the highest ranking member of the Elite Royal Guard, whose sole duty was to oversee the protection of the monarch.
Over time, this shield became such an icon that the Elite Royal Guard itself began to be referred to as the Platinum Bulwark.
NOTE: There are two copies of this item in existence. One is possessed by Vernigorn Prexilmorev, the other is in possession of the Knight Vigilant of the Platinum Bulwark, Waekarii Sizmarillfen.
