Versatile Heritages

Falandas is a land of mixed cultures and people, of war, of great devastation, and of perseverance and rebuilding. Through the years there have also been a number of dark rituals and other events of far stranger circumstance that have born a versatile mixture. These ancestries are not widely seen in the world and should be discussed with the Game Master before selecting them as not all versatile heritages exist on Falandas.   Aasimar: There are many books written on the subject of holy wars fought on other planes between angels and devils.  Throughout these tales there are chapters that speak to the relationships formed between the mortals of the world and the angelic people.  Though there is no known truth to these legends interest in those legends are reignited when an Aasimar is seen in the world.   Changeling: Changeling births are rare in the world as they are the result of a relationship between a kitsune and a hag in the world.  Due to this union it is most common for changeling children to be cast out by their community.   Dhampir: Vampires were once a plague onto the world and as a result there were many people that were under the magical charms of these undead creatures.  Birth of a Dhampir would come as a result of a person that had been bitten by a vampire and then went on to have a sexual relationship within the next few days.  Since the people rose up and struck down the vampires of the world the Dhampir that do remain have found it best to hide in the night and are rarely seen among the people of the world.   Duskwalker: It is unknown how the first Duskwalker was formed, or what brings about future generations of Duskwalkers to the world.  It continues to be a focus of study as to why most Duskwalker seem to rise from the various tombs of Kukita.  In an attempt to prevent further generations of Duskwalkers the practice of resurrection has been banned within the borders of Einsaung Nat.   Tiefling: Much like the aasimar, legends tell of the Tiefling being born of relationships between mortals and the devils that fought in holy wars.  Tieflings tend to be more brash and outspoken than their aasimar counterparts and rarely try to hide themselves in public places.  Due to their more outgoing nature tiefling are often sought after for research purposes in an attempt to learn their origins.
