01: The Zhindler's Humanitarian Crates
Players
Preface
Yluka Zhindler started the Book Fund in the early days of the Great War as a way to impose the Fire Nation's propaganda to all knowledgeable people in the conquered territories, and beyond. After she stepped down from day-to-day operations, her middle child Heraoh took over. A few years later, the younger of the Zhindler Brothers, Ozao, took over the book business and continues to run it to these days.Adventure Summary
The Zhindlers are sending some crates with revised history books and are to be delivered to an empovered territory in the mainland of the Zhu province from the drop point next to the coast. The party is hired as low-pay muscle to watch after the crates, along with Ake, the Fire Bender (Novice Fire Bender) in charge and with 2 Fire Soldiers (Bandit), Chekum and Tuza. In their way through the almost-desertic lands of inland Zhu, they are ambushed by 2 Dao Fei Soldiers (Bandit) and their leader, a Dao Fei Earth Bender (Novice Earth Bender). They claim the crates contain no books and attempt to open them to reveal the real cargo; 3 Water Benders and one old Air Bender (Starved Slave). They were released slaves by the Zhindler's on their way to the refugee camp at the base of Mount Zian. After the bandits are dealt with Ake, Chekum and Tuza will resolve the released slaved must die, and the schemas the Zhindler's have been running need to be made known to the Fire Lord. Whatever the outcome, the refugee camp at the base of Mount Zian is being burnt as the bandits strike, leaving no place for the released slaves to rest after the end of the session. The Crates
There are 2 Crates, covered in wooden boxes of 5x5x5 feet. Each is placed atop a wheeled base and carried by a Camelphant. Inside each there are two people, along with some rests of supplies. A whole in the base of the crates serves to get rid of depositions. Each Crate, beneath the wood covering, is made of steel, and counts with 3 locks:Locations
Gochika Village
Coastal town in the Zhu province, currently occupied by the Fire Nation. Its tiny port is under remodeling to hold the massive load the Fire Nation has planned for the town. The once blue and pure sky is now covered by the coal smoke of the steam machines and the usual heat feels heavier with the accumulated humidity and gray days.Inland Zhu Province
The black cloud covering Gochika dissipates north-west to reveal an arid land of rock and sad bushes. The planned route then walks down a canyon, a perfect spot for an ambush.Refugee Camp at Mount Zian After the walk up the canyon a distant mountain can be seen, with a green carpet at its feet. As the party approaches the base of Mount Zian and the refugee camp, as the altitude rises so does the plant life, taken over by brutally tall and green trees that take the temperature way down. The refugee camp consisted of a few tents, now reduced to still-warm ashes and a pile of corpses.

The Fire Soldiers in charge decide to execute the benders and let the Fire Lord know about the Zhindler's scam. Hopefully, the party will step in.
