The Raiders Camp

After returning to Greenest, the party agrees to investigate the raiders. The party then tracks down the raiders to gather information and rescue Dirt's monk friend, Leosin. In the process the raiders discover the party so Vladrek uses magic to set the camp on fire and cause the raiders to panic so the party could escape. Vladrek also kills one of their leaders, Frulam Mondath, during their escape.

After returning with supplies for Greenest, the party is tasked with investigating the raiders by Governor Nighthill.   After some investigating, the party finds Nesim Waladra: the apprentice of Dirt's monk friend, Leosin Erlanthar. Nesim informs the party that his master has been investigating the raiders and dragon cults for months at Candlekeep. Nesim fears that Leosin may have been captured when attempting to infiltrate the raiders during the raiders' retreat from Greenest. Nesim also informs the party that they are a group of monks from Berdusk and that while they have sent for aid, but it might be some time before help arrives from Berdusk. He then urges the party to continue their search for the raiders and asks that they also keep an eye out for his master.   The party then continues following the path of the raiders and ends up defeating some stragglers who they interrogate for information, The party then takes the stragglers' uniforms to use as disguises. Later upon meeting the rear guard, all of the party's disguises fool the rearguard except Vladrek's. Vladrek then flees after intimidating some of the rear guard and the rest of the party convinces the guards that they were not associated with Vladrek. The party then continued to the camp while Vladrek went into an elevated area that looked over the camp.   The party successfully uses their disguises to get into the camp. As they search for Leosin, they also gather information that the camp is a cult of Tiamat that hired multiple mercenaries to do raids such as on Greenest. After a little bit of investigating, Grulnnear is recognized by Langdedrosa Cyanwrath. As Grulnnear tries to escape the camp and avoid capture, Quacey and Melchior are discovered and captured by Frulam Mondath who puts them in a cage with Leosin.   Seeing all of this, Vladrek begins casting spells to confuse and frighten the raiders while also setting most of the camp on fire. In the ensuing chaos, the rest of the party is able to escape with Leosin. Frulam Mondath attempts to catch the party and fight them, but Vladrek then turns his aatention to her and kills her with his wand of magic missiles.
