Velvet is made from blue fungus that is dried, chopped and rolled into paper, it is then smoked and inhaled. it can also be cut into fine slivers and placed between the teeth and gums to be sucked on. It causes extreme emotions to abate and induces near euphoric mellow-ness, Larger doses may incur the user to enter an extremely vivid waking dream, which can last for hours. Velvet is addictive and more frequent use increases susceptibility to hallucinations and to having a negative reaction. Other effects include Side effects include increased appetite and red, puffy eyes. Frequent users of velvet can be spotted as their mouths and fingers take on a light blue tinge. Heavy users develop a far deeper blue tone and may experience a build up of thick, patchy skin. almost resembling velvet.
The velvet fungus likes to grow in damp areas that have salty air, its common to see it growing on docks, in sea coves and even on the side of ships that have been moored a long time.
