A list of Categories of contraband complete with various examples of each and descriptions.

Magic Items

Scrolls

pre-fabricated spells which can be activated by any soceror strong enough to harness the spell- only works once. After activation the scroll destroys itself by ripping itself apart.

Runes

Simillar to scrolls these are pre-fabricated spells, they are activated once and will preform one low-level magic effect constantly until it runs out of power

Power Crystals

These are purple gems that can be used to power machinary, and also when lontacting a run can prolong its lifespan and magical effect. Socerors can chanel magic through them to increase the range of rudimentary spells.

Simulcrums

Magical contructs typically made from dirt, stone, metal, and powered by a rune. They are magically manipulated to 'come to life' to preform basic manual tasks, most are no bigger than the palm of a hand.

Marionettes

Doll-like representations of real people, said to be enchanted to give the real person ill fortune although this has never been confirmed.

Organics

Jester Weed

Jester Weed is a bitter reed that can be made into tea despite medicinal uses, Jester Weed grows fast and can strangle other plants and crops if left unattended.

Plague Caps

Plague Caps  are strong smelling fungus that grow in the crevices of mountains, its a deicacy but banned due to hysteria that it caused the plague which infected the Elves

Pest Clove

Pest Clove is a hemiparasitic plant that seeds into the bark of host trees to absorb water and nurtrients. The flowers of this plant can be dried, crushed and turned into a neurotoxin.

Verbane

Verbane is a species of flower that grows during the cold season in the tundra, it can habour Night Pests among its stalks. Thge flower can be rolled up and smoked or turned into perfume.

Crystal-Powered Weapons

any weapon with a space for, or is connected to a power crystal

Magic Weapons

Any weapon that is transcribed with a magic sigil, or powered by a rune, any weapon what looks like it could contain magic properties.

Powered Projectile weapons

Any weapon more complex than a standard wooden bow, any projectile that appears chenical in nature. crossbows, wristbows, rudimentary firearms, hand cannons.

Cultural Artifacts

Totems of Xegruni

small talismens carved from stone and strung on leather cording, has the symbols afilliated with the god Xegruni and may be worn by worshippers as a replacement for an alter.

Elven Artifacts

Anything suspected to be elven in nature is to be handed to autorities immediately for destruction.

Illicit Substances

Grain alcohol

Any alcohol that comes theough the city gates of Wintrow, Denmaerd or Zentawen is to be heavily taxed, and 100 proof grain alcohol is not permitted.

Kromide

Kromide is a powerful psychotomimetic that is absorbed through the skin it is a hallucinogen designed that makes one suggestable and complacent.

Velvet

Derived from blue fungus, Velvet is easy to source and widespread, causing feeling of euphoria with a mind psychogenic effect. Prolonged use causes light blue staining and patches of thick velvety skin to appear at contact points.

Ache

Ache  is a neurotoxin that is derived from the dried flowers of the Pest Clove plant. When ingested it causes extreme agony to the nervous system, with the side effects after the high resulting in intense pleasure.
