Voracious Hills

If you were to look at the geography of the Empire of Fangs, it is obvious why the border with the Nineward Coalition is where it is: the Fanged Mountains are, as their name suggests, quite formidable. On the other hand, the border with the Beastlands is far less obvious, following the outline of a hilly region much less imposing than the huge mountain range on the opposite side. Less obvious that is, unless you know about the Voracious Hills.
Home to the Tabaxi and Shifters, the Voracious Hills is an expanse of alpine jungle or cloud forest that is also home to some of the most facinatingly dangerous and hostile species of wild creatures on Fulcrum. The Tabaxi adapted to their dangerous home by banding together and living in trees where the threats are mitigated, the shifters adapted by living on the fringes of the region where the most dangerous creatures usually don't venture. Everyone else has adapted by staying out.
