Yugoloth Demon
Basic Information
Anatomy
While each one can be very different from one another, their are a few that are considered 'standard' Yugoloths such as Arcanoloths and Nycaloths
Genetics and Reproduction
While Yugoloth demons can reproduce as normal demons do, and give birth to more Yugoloth demons, only if both parents are Yugoloths, they can also be made from other demons. The process itself is unknown, only that it is Pale Night that does so.
Civilization and Culture
Naming Traditions
A Yugoloths name is its most important aspect, its weakness and greatest power. Invoking their name can give them great power but also ties them to whoever happens to know said name, bending them completely to their will and even forcing them to do things they wouldn't want to do at all. For a Yugoloth, the less people that know its name the stronger it can become.
A Yugoloth willingly giving their name is the most extreme form of trust for them, and can easily be equated to a mortal giving someone else their life or a lich giving someone their phylactery, and even presents both a danger and limit to themselves.
Major Organizations
Yugoloths rarely get involved with the Demon Rings, as given the right planning, they can exceed their power anyway, aswell as avoid the politics of being involved
Common Taboos
Giving up their names in duress usually causes alot of shame, embarrassment, and in some cases trauma for them. Its something they avoid at all cost and some even give up their own lives before revealing their true names
History
Yugoloth Demons are a subset of demons who were altered by Pale Night, to give their true name even more power than the average demon, making it a true source of power aswell as a significant weakness. They presumably made to be used in a inter-sphereical war, though this has yet to be proven.
Some would consider Yugoloth demons the 'first' demons and that they are the progenitors to them all considering they're connection to Pale Night, but these cant be proven or disproven, it can only be said that they are infact a very old subset of demons and in some cases can achieve more power than even Archdemons.
The names of all Yugoloths, save for one, are recorded in a book that has been lost to the world, and even new Yugoloths that begin to exist have their true names automatically inscribed into the book.
In the modern day, Yugoloths usually serve serve as mercenaries for extraplanar activities due to their ability to cross into any plane without being deterred
