Colonisation
The world of Terrax IV was colonized in 198.020 by colony ships initially attracted to it by the temperate climate and large oceans. Cities were built fast, as well as decent early infrastructure.The Discovery
In their search for raw materials and energy sources, the colonists began to dig under the planet's crust. As they did, they found vast tomb complexes stretching all accross the surface of the planet. In 198.210, a group of miners found a live creature living in the tombs. After massacring most of the expedition, the creature set about to wake the rest of its species. Soon enough, the ancient beasts rose from the deep and took to the surface, devastating the ill prepared young cities. Casualties numbered in the hundreds of thousands and the old colony ships were hastily repaired in order to evacuate the population. By 198.291, the last of the colonists had left the planet, now overrun with dangerous ancient beasts.The Hunters' World
The young organization of The Hunters' Mark soon took an interest in Terrax IV. The abandonned world seemed an ideal place to hold their monster slaying contests. The wealthy donors behind The Hunters' Mark made sure that Terrax IV was not seen as anything but a hostile and uninhabitable world, keeping it safe from prying eyes. And year after year, as new warriors joined the organization, the number of monsters on Terrax IV decreased rapidly. By 198.810, the planet was no longer overrun by the creatures. The remaining beasts were herded into one area, the former capital of Terrax IV, which was then cordoned off with an enormous wall. It was now known as The Enclosure. In the 198.999 monster slaying, the last of the local creatures were exterminated. Since then, The Hunters Mark spends all year gathering the oddest and most intriguing creatures from accross the known space and placing them in The Enclosure, in an effort to make each monster slaying more interesting than the year before.Localized Phenomena
Since Hunters and Hell , a Hellpit is open in the streets of The Enclosure.
