The Legend of Al-Sahek the grandiose

At the age of four, Al-Sahek the Grandiose , smelling treason on his emperor father's scales, ripped his throat out and ascended to the throne of Ki-Sar. In the first decade of his reign, Ki-Sar knew a golden age. People ate as they should and the ennemies of the empire were repelled by the shining glory of Al-Sahek the Powerful's radiant armies.   Al-Sahek the Magnificent's conquests established his empire as the biggest power on Ki-Sar. Lords and Kings from all over the world came to bow at Al-Sahek the Golden's feet and swear allegiance to him. He rewarded them with flattening their mountains or opening up their rivers, altering their geography with a move of his hand to help them share in this age of prosperity.   The cowardly gods of Ki-Sar did not take kindly to this fast rise to power. On his fifteenth birthday, when he was finally to become an adult, Al-Sahek the Prodigious was visited by the pantheon of Ki-Sar's gods. Killing half the guests in attendance, they attempted to intimidate the young emperor to make him stop his era defining efforts. As they left, Al-Sahek the Majestic swore upon his mother's still warm corpse that he would avenge his people and rid the world of his false gods.   He took a dozen years and gathered the most powerful magicians, shamans and wizards to his court, learning all there was to learn from them. When he was finished, he altered the geography of the entire continent into a single middle finger pointed at the firmament.   Godly fire rained upon the man, obliterating his mentors, but Al-Sahek the Ascended fought on, in a battle that ripped the sky to pieces. Al-Sahek the Definite returned from the sky and endeavoured to fix the damage these horrid gods had wrought. Until his passing, he worked to reestablish his golden age and ensure that his citizens would not want for anything.   He passed away at the age of two hundred and eighty seven, a number that immediately became holy in his empire. His funeral was attended by everyone, babies wept as his body was presented to the populace. He was entombed in the most beautiful mausoleum there ever was, and the architects of said mausoleum destroyed their plans and killed themselves to preserve their secrets.
