Blood of Denemor
Named after Denemor, who in early creation myths was slain by her twin sister, Astenor, the Blood of Denemor is a rare red gemstone of which only a few samples exist, each of which are individually referred to as a Bloodstone. Each of the primary holy sites of all Eudokian faiths hold at least one of the gems, which are considered among the holiest of relics, due to their near constant radiation of what is referred to as "Holy Energies". The very air around a Bloodstone is warm, and the attendants unlucky enough to touch a Bloodstone with bare skin experience searing pain and burnt flesh upon contact.
Seven specimens of the Blood of Denemor are known to exist, each of which rest in an imperially protected shrine:
- Aulenor, a moderately sized bloodstone roughly the size of a fingernail, is enshrined at the Tomb of Manuel II, and is a central relic to the Manuelism heresy, as the emperor is said to have possessed the stone in life.
- Iaranor, Nuhadra, Assepon
- Ophelor, Westhammar, Grimhold
- Euphemor, Rožmberk, Hanax
- Banithor, Trouene, Talun
- Dicynor is enshrined in the palace of the Sogdian sahpur, Bashir Zurvanian, in the capital city of Dehkanabad, where a force of hand-picked guards protect the living god's dearest treasure.
- Xanthipor was the largest of the bloodstones, roughly 20mm in length, and was enshrined at the Temple of the Three Holy Wills in Lapara until the fall of the city in 602 AFE. With the disappearance of the entire city, whether the stone still exists is unknown.
