Drinalis (Dr-iin-Nal-is)

The Silver Reaper

Drinalis is the god of Death. He is the creator of the Lujan, as he was the first. Despite representing the ultimate end of all life, he is a relativly neutral, if not the most neutral of all figures on Gaia.
"I am Drinalis, I am your fate."

Personal history

Little is known about Drinalis' past. He was the first Lujan who came into existence. He has no allies and few enemies. He is the embodiment of life's end and is rerpesented by the Shattered Moon baring his name. Like all gods of the Universal Gaia Pantheon, he is one of the most recognizable figures seen on Gaia. His only rival is the Dragon god of Death, as most dragons do not follow the 'mortal' pantheon.   Drinalis was recently ascended due to the Shattering, and the fall of the Combined Empire. He was realized only untill after the Fall of the Great Empire. Before this he was a minor deity that a few Beastfolk and human cults recognized. It is said during his rise, he had became shattered and broken, a corrupt shell of himself that needed to be set right. Many stories depict him being saved by his fellow Pantheon, some even go as far as saying the Elder Dragons broke him free of his corrupt shell. It remains however that he is now newly ascended and is able to take the role without issue.   He is one of the Few Beastfolk deities that is worshipped by humans universally. Many storied depict hi mas a Shrouded Jackal that takes the hand of lost souls and gudies them into the realms of shadow. Others paint him as an evil figure that takes souls for his own consumption. The truth is, he does neither, He over ses the realms of death, and opens the way for souls to find their final realms of promise.   He has a heavy influence over the Shrouded Lands on Maelstrom. This is said ot be where his 'birthplace' was. He has a temple dedicated to him in the lands someplace in the Dark Shroud. His influance however is also felt in other places of Gaia, usually places where much Death has happened, or places of sorrow. He has influance over Saint Serlis Nominica's Life Fonts as well. However the guardians there worship a different god, one of life.
