GB Chapter 24: Some Shit

General Summary

Opening

• Some shit's happening; Chazzle arrives at the castle and becomes boys with the bros
• Garzik is freed from his minagerie prison, and contracts with the bros to watch the castle & build a magical sauna for 2,000 gp; 1,200 gp upfront, 800 gp when they get back
• Balcazar takes a ball whip, Draconius takes castration shears
• On the way to the Isle of Smiles (1 week of flying time), Rexy can fly for 8 hours each day before needing a Long Rest. In the meantime, the party can study the reading materials they acquired at the castle, gaining any benefits applicable from them. In addition, they may come across several different encounters: 1. After the first couple of days, they may come across a village/settlement of some kind (Frost Elf, Frost Giant, or Mammodon based on the location). They can choose to interact, or keep going 2. A couple more days in, there may be a treacherous mountain range that is too difficult to fly over due to blizzards, requiring some land-air navigational skill. Monsters, such as a Frost Dragon or Remorrhaez, would be lurking about. 3. Before their final day of travel, the Sweet-tooth Coven would have caught up to them. Violence will ensue, and the group may learn of the contract put out of them due to their actions in Gotharamor. Perhaps the two are riding on a Frost Wyvern, upping the encounter difficulty.

Travel

• In the first few days, the gang does some downtime in the carriage. Balcazar studies the blueprint and some history docs, Fork doesn't do much, Draconius studies the Reincarnation Thought Crystal. Master Obu stews in his shell as Chazzle occassionally pokes him and plays the sax. Fork and Chazzle dick around and are fun alcoholics.
• Second few days, nearly avoid a dragon in the mountains
• Last day, gets hunted by a guy. Balcazar launches Eldritch Blasts at him for 14 damage, after he fires a few candy cane arrows.

• Fork: Throws a couple darts; 9 piercing for one
• Balcazar: Eldritch Blasts the guy, deals 15 force damage.
• Candyman: Fires three candy canes at the gang, does 12 & 8 piercing damage to Balcazar & Fork
• Frost Hag: Fires a Cone of Cold (5th level) at the carriage, dealing 16 to each party member and 16 to the carriage (25 total damage to carriage)
• Draconius: Fires Eldritch Blasts at the guy for 14 damage to the guy

Round 2

• Fork: Gets Balcazar onto Rexy's back
• Balcazar: Feeds Northman's Coke to Rexy
• Candyman: 17 piercing to the back of the carriage
• Frost Hag: Hail Storm (4th level), dealing 27 damage to the group
