GB Chapter 44: The Price of His Sins

• For some amount of time, I have been tracking your progress/level ups with the milestone system. Starting with Session 44, we will be reverting back to XP; everyone will start with 170,000 XP. Killing monsters nets everyone the specified amount of XP unless they deliberately don't participate in the combat. Creative escapes or RP to evade monsters yields them half the specified XP or more, and other RP/non-combat stuff could earn discretionary XP as well.
• Shooting for 8:00pm EST/5:00pm PT to get on Discord with a hard start by 8:20/5:20, unless we all agree on a different time. Sticking with 3 out of 5 players needed to run a session. Players earn 1,000 XP per hour played, absent players earn 500 XP for the session.
• The Rites of Lichdom would have been granted to Balcazar & Draconius if they took the deal. Due to the secrecy of the ritual, they wouldn’t have known exactly what goes into it until they accept the terms (arcane contract would be signed, giving them enough details of lichdom benefits to make a choice). Fork’s option was Wightdom, NOT lichdom. Essentially offering him unmolested immortality to accomplish his life’s ambitions, without the inconveniences or loyalties imposed by lichdom, death knighthood or vampirism.
  
• Sack of Holding has all of the items that are too big to feasibly use outside of the caravan (cannons, Winter Bomb, etc.), while the Bag of Holding has the rest of the group inventory. Unless otherwise specified by the party, I will assume that the Sack of Holding is being carried by MB's harem while the Bag of Holding is regularly rotated between party members during adventures, allowing everyone to access its items without me needing to narratively justify it (ex. Master Obu drinks a Soul Slurp potion when Draconius has the Bag of Holding). Check the Gaiobros Item Catalog for details on what's in the group's inventory, but please note that it hasn't been updated in a few sessions (ex. the group gold should be 0 now, since you guys distributed amongst yourselves.) I will not be updating the catalog going forward (too much work and I'm mentally strapped), so you will be responsible for updating your individual inventory based on what you find/use per session (I'll try to keep notes in the session report when you find or use items).

• Fork: Starts practicing his music on his bottle
• Gothicca: Frightful Presence (Balcazar & Fork failed), then 40 point multiattack on Fork
• MB: Tries to persuade Gothicca to back down, then heals Obu for 20 HP
• Balcazar: Chugs a Potion of Superior Healing (34 HP), then casts Terra Shield on hismelf for +6
• Obu: Moves back to the entrance of the tunnel, looks at Gothicca, then pleads for a bargain (kinda peaks her interest)
• Stonius: Gets in position
• Draconius vs. Solya: Solya wins the round

Round 2

• Fork: Uses Peace of Mind to cure the fear, then Bonus Action Disengages and runs down the cave
• MB: Bargains with Gothicca again, getting her to mildly calm down
• Gothicca: Offers an arcane contract
• Balcazar: Investigates the contract and flies into the cave. Slams anoher Potion of Superior Healing (?? HP)
• Obu: Signs the contract, thanks Gothicca, and heads towards the tunnel
• Stonius: Dips out, does not sign contract
• Draconius vs. Solya: Solya wins the round

Round 3

• Fork: Accepts contract and tries to sneak his way out
• MB: Accepts the contract with his Draconius penis. Winks at Gothicc, then tries more seduction
• Gothicca: Accepts the contract and decides to fuck MB
• Draconius vs. Solya: Draconius wins the round

The Ziggurat

• Draconius vs. Solya: Tied fight
• Draconius vs. Solya: Draconius edges out a win (2 vs 2 with 1 tie)
• The guys make their way up the ziggurat, succeeding on Survival Check #1. Obu & Stonius discuss their plan to save Draconius
• Survival check #2: 28 & 22 & 14 & 15. Success
• Survival check #3: 25, 13, 8 & 26. Success
• Survival check #4: nat1, 15, nat20 & 13. Tie breaker (rolled by Balc), Success
• Draconius vs. Solya: Tied
• Draconius vs. Solya: Draconius wins (3 vs 2 with 2 ties)
• Survival check #5: 27, 17, 19 & 19
• Draconius vs. Solya: Draconius wins (3 vs 2 with 3 ties)
• Draconius va. Solya: Draconius wins (4 vs 2 with 3 ties, Draconius overall)
• All the guys reggroup, including MB. Getting a beat on Draconius (has somewhere between 1/3 & 1/2 of his HP max left), the gang goes after him. Master Obu hears the Twins playing behind the door to the Pharaoh's Throne and goes in there instead, finding the kids playing on an organic playground. Solya appears soon after, pissed off at losing Draconius and demanding that Obu accompany her to his location. This is how they meet up with the ohers
