Gal'aeda (Planet)
Gal'aeda sits, small and unimpressive, in the middle of the Prime Material Plane. Though it is home to mere mortals, and not particularly advanced ones at that, Gal'aeda is constantly influenced and interfered with by other-worldly beings of immense power because it sits at the precise center of the Planar Web.
Geography
The surface of Gal'aeda is approximately 80% saltwater. Its oceans are vast, deep and often cross into the Great Deep, the plane of fiends, demons, and certain elementals. The continents, Esparad, Tileigan, and Vetir, vary wildly in geographical features. More than a quarter of Esparad is taken up by the Hagarin-Peregrin mountain ranges, while Tileigan is very nearly flat. The landscape of Vetir changes with the status of the eternal primordial war between the Great Deep and the Light Beyond: cloaked in shadow and jagged at the edges one day, blazing with sunlight and gentle curves the next.
Fauna & Flora
The diversity of life on Gal'aeda is astonishing, in no little part due to the sheer amount of magic that flows infinitely through the nexus. Humanoids have colonized most of the surface and some of the underground; a few have even set their sights to the skies. Giant creatures of unknown origin rule the oceans, only vaguely described by the humanoids who dared settle below the depths. Some forest sprites and pixies have made the Plane Between All Planes their home, as have some imps and minor demons who lie waiting in the deep caverns beneath the crust. Even gods occasionally deign to grace the planet with their physical presence.
