Manabane Caves
The Manabane Caves mark the entrance to Moringua’s fossilized body, where the ancient eel first burrowed into the earth, seeking refuge from the evaporating seas. The very air here is thick with magical energy, crackling with the power of the Kinalite stones embedded in the cave walls. However, this energy has also drawn the Manabane Scarabs—voracious, magic-feeding insects that swarm anything bearing even a trace of arcane power. These beetles, shimmering with an iridescent sheen, are both a warning and a deadly obstacle to any who would dare venture deeper into the caves. Their presence ensures that only the most prepared—or the most foolish—make it beyond this treacherous gateway.
The scarabs themselves are a fearsome sight to behold, with armored bodies and sharp, serrated mandibles. They move quickly and silently, swarming their prey and overwhelming them with sheer numbers. Only the most skilled and experienced adventurers have a chance of surviving an encounter with these deadly creatures.
The Manabane Caves are a mysterious and dangerous place, located deep within the sandstone cliffs of the Caluan Desert. As you venture deeper into the caves, you'll encounter winding tunnels and chambers, each one more treacherous than the last. The air is thick with the scent of decay and the sound of scurrying insects, and the walls are covered in strange, glowing markings that seem to pulse with an magical energy.
This caves system leads into the massive Caves of Moringua.
