Mantle Slug

Lava slug that can grow up to 6 ft. Their body is orange and glowing and resembles a vein of lava flowing. They can expel hot stomach acid that melts rocks as well living creatures. They are docile by nature but can defend themselves if attacked. Their core is very hot while the tail begins to cool and leaves remnants of soot and volcanic crust behind in their trails. Some pheori aelves have domesticated these slugs to help with mining, as they eat rocks and can help clear cave-ins or discover new pathways.   In the wild, these slugs have been rumoured to grow up to 10 ft. Their diet consists of rocks, as they eat more material, their body grows in size because they turn the rocks into more lava. They have a fast metabolism as their hot stomach acids quickly melt anything they eat. Although rocks are their main source of food, they are considered omnivores because they don't care what they put in their mouth, and anything will melt at the temperatures inside their stomachs.
