Silvar Tung
Silvar Tung, the current Highking Regent of Galfin, rose from the grimy streets of Skygarde's poor district to the highest seat of power through cunning manipulation and ruthless ambition. Born in 144 AHM to Teilo Tung, a disgraced armourer, and Ahna Skytracer, a noblewoman who married a controversial family to anger her father, Silvar's childhood was marred by poverty and hardship. From a young age, he displayed a remarkable ability to twist people and events to his favour for his persuasive goals. Alongside his fraternal twin brother, Ned—later known as Lead Tung after Silvar violently removed his tongue during a heated confrontation—the Tung brothers formed a gang of street thieves who clawed their way to power.
Silvar's sharp wit and manipulative skill allowed him to blackmail his way into the royal court, using a stolen journal that exposed dark secrets about the Skytracer family, including lies told by their ancestor, Amauri Skytracer, during the religious wars on Steelgale. Silvar used these secrets to climb the political ladder, eventually positioning himself as Highking Regent after the death of Highking Orion Skytracer, with no direct heir to take the throne.
Now a cold and calculated ruler, Silvar controls Skygarde with an iron grip, manipulating laws, merchants, and diplomats alike to maintain his power. He is feared for his ability to trap his enemies in elaborate schemes, making them believe they hold the upper hand when they are, in fact, already ensnared. Silvar also owns a number of racing drakes, which serve as both pets and lethal protectors. His family sigil, a pangolin, represents his protective nature and his sharp, hidden defenses. Though his origins are humble, Silvar’s influence now stretches across the kingdom, and his actions continue to sow doubt about the legitimacy of the crown, helped in part by his secret alliance with Westking Floki Boggan.
Silvar's icy demeanor and ruthless pragmatism have cemented his role as one of the most feared and enigmatic figures in Galfin, leading a life where betrayal, manipulation, and dark secrets define every step he takes.

their family ended up poor after his father Teilo lost his business due to some corruption scandals. Their mother, sister of the Highking left on an extended vacation to avoid whispers of the nobles and the embarrassment of being married to a buffoon. Silvar and Ned ran a gang of kids who stole from everyone to eat. Silvar had intentions of rising his rank back up and orchestrated a break in into Beowulfan Castle. He knew of a location where his mother, before she left him and his brother alone, hid her treasures that she didn't want the treasury to know about. It was in her old bedroom in the high turret of the castle. In the chest they did find treasures alongside their child thief partners. The kids ran off with various trinkets but a broach that had been passed down from Amauri Skytracer's religious war was also inside. The box also included her journal which exposed some dark secrets of the Skytracer family. Amaurri had lied to the people to gather support to eradicate another religion on Steelgale, the followers of the void. They escaped the castle with the broach to sell and gain some property while the journal would be used by Silver to work the royal family in the shadows, teasing the reveal of information unless certain laws were changed in his benefit. Silver was around 14 at this time and his brother, who was the same age was growing fast and could get into pubs easily. Silver walked into a bar to find his brother blabbering about the heist and how well it went. Silver grabbed his brother and took him outside, Ned continued to push Silver around and bully him. Silvar had enough, even though his brother was bigger, he was smarter. He knew the only way for his brother to not tell of the secret that would get them back to the rank their father lost. Ned said one final quip as he broke his beer bottle on the wall to threaten Silvar. The small brother quickly struck Ned, hitting him where it would take a moment to regain focus. Silvar grabbed the broken bottle from Ned's hand and proceeded to cut his brother tongue out in the alleyway.
Silvar sat through the muffled screams of his maimed fraternal twin. Unflinching. Pondering whether to let his brother die the cold streets of the dunwich district, Silvar looked up to a lantern left on, its wax burned just slow enough for Silvar's use. He broke a piece of fence off, grabbed the lantern and heated the metal. He cauterized his brother's tonuge to stop the bleeding.
He then carried his sobbing big brother back to the halfway house their father had found himself in. Teilo pushed a lady of the night out of his bed as he saw his children walk in covered in blood. He asked Silvar what had happened and without a second thought Silvar created a deep alibi and story. Ned simply looked in fear at his brother. Teilo hugged Silvar for saving his oldest son, Silvar's glare never left Ned. When Teilo began to scold Ned for getting into a fight with bar patrons, and for drinking himself. Ned took the brunt of it and never tattled on his twin. Whether out of fear or a slight admiration for Silvar opting to save him when he could have let him die by his hand.
Teilo finished with the family motto of Family Above All. Their father began to wok on a metal mask to cover the disfigured Ned's mouth. From this day on, people referred to Ned as Lead Tung and the brothers grew their influence more and more to gain power within Skygarde. Lead became a banker with an imposing presence and Silvar a scholar and lawmaker who would eventually twist the city's politics to make himself Highking Regent in the absence of an heir after Orion was killed.
The broach gained them money in which Lead invested greatly. The journal was used to blackmail his way into certain meetings, eventually giving it back in secret to Hector Skytracer. This same method of war within Amauri's journals was used to orchestrate the Battle of Snowpeak.
