The Awakening of the Deep
A rare and secretive rite performed when a significant threat looms over the islands. The Soothsayers and Wavespeakers gather at an ancient, submerged temple and perform an intense ritual that is said to awaken Sootha’s spirit from the depths. This rite calls upon the goddess’s full power, summoning great waves and storms to defend the Pacurans from their enemies. This surge of power comes from the Basin, a bottomless pit in the sea temple of Tarnford, a community built when Pacura was formed but where the Sea temple has been around for potentially the longest of all places of worship to Sootha.
