Matter Plane
WIP
The Matter Plane holds all the known galaxies of the Gateway Network. They are contained in a singular Universe that is ever-expanding.
Geography
The Matter plane is split into large spatial scales to break down the universe in sizes, in order:
- Superclusters
- Laniakea
- Local Group
- Galaxy
- Local Stars
- Outer Solar Systems
- Inner Solar systems
- Planetary Objects
History
Historically, many different cultures have had their own ideas on the creation of their observable universe. Theories of sacrosanct bubble worlds, Stars mingling with time, and the acceptance of divine intervention and creation. Over time most cultures make technological and theoretical advancements, often with the expansion of what they may observe, that would lead to more precise descriptions and steps on the formation of the universe. Most space-faring cultures accepted theory of cosmology is based on general relativity, entropy, and the Big Rip.
The Universe is believed to be roughly 10 billion light years in diameter and is filled with galaxies. It is also theorized to be expanding since it's creation. Scientific Evidence in most cultures support the theory that the universe was created by Time and Gravity merging, with some unproven theories that this is the second passing. Nearly all religions on the Matter Plane suggest the universe was created by some type Distant Gods which are too abstract to comprehend. The Distant Gods merging Time and Gravity, thus causing the creation of the Matter Plane, is a very well documented and supported theory by most on it's creation.

- An endless universe filled with many star systems and galaxies
- While some planes are featured more than others in certain areas, all planar power is visible
- Given the expansive universe, there are many sapient races and creatures to discover
- The mixtures of planar power has created new elements and material not seen on other places (though other planes still have their own unique resources; You will not find them here)
- Suspected to be a powerhouse for divine/dietic worship
- Believed to keep the planes together
