Hama's Boonfire Vision

Hama vu Farlight meditated on the Boonfire and a vision appeared before him. This is what he saw.

Summary

As Hama looked into the Boonfire, he saw himself adrift in an ocean very different from the Vast. The water was thick, almost sludge-like, and he struggled to stay afloat, his energy waning in these frigid waters. The cold here was something new--a more intense articulation from the icy winds and climate of his northern home. It was marrow-deep, almost emerging from the inside out. Chunks of frozen ice bobbed on the surface before plummeting into blackness. The last thing he smelled before his head went below the surface was the acrid burn of prepared nitre.
