Hama vu Brightstep
(a.k.a. Hama vu Farlight)
A goliath, Hama vu Farlight hails from the Farlight Clan, a nomadic tribe of traders who patrol the southern border of The Icehost. Hama is a Bridgewalker, a member of a druidic circle who draw their power from the stars. Bridgewalkers serve clans by asking the stars for advice and providing counsel.
Hama served the Farlight clan as such after his father, Kubo, died of Kylvas' Curse, a strange wasting disease that sometimes befalls Bridgewalkers. The Farlight Clan often provided goods and transport between the Icehost and the northern regions of the Alerki Ascendancy, the Kingdom of Kh'Axros, and Gattland. Messages from the stars told Hama to accompany one such transportation job, bringing a monk named Rieta of the Mapmakers of Denier down into the Alerki Ascendancy.
Upon the journey, a squad of Rectifiers took issue with a caravan of savages in their midst and attacked. Hama and Rieta escaped with the aid of Aletha, an agent of the Brass Lamb, a resistance organization operating against the Ascendancy.
Hama then found himself and on the run and hunted by the Alerki Ascendancy. The two fell in with a band of insurgents aligned with the Brass Lamb. Though full of guilt for leaving his clan without the guidance of a Bridgewalker, Hama trusted that the guiding light of Stiga Star-Crosser and the Sky-Bridge of Gnet had placed him exactly where he needed to be.
Calling themselves Alley Sleepers, the band of insurgents played a pivotal role in the liberation of Skint Parish from the Ascendancy, even bringing about the downfall of the Sovereign. Under the fateful glow of Gnet, under which Hama was born, he drew on the ancient power of the Cloakbearers to not only win the day for Skint, but discover his destiny.
Now, Hama has returned to the Icehost, but no longer travels with his clan as a Bridgewalker. Instead, he resides at the ancient Brightstep and works with the so-named centaur to bring the Icehost to life in a way not seen on Gavros since the Unkown Era.
