Day of Light

The Day of Light is an annual event celebrated in New Hyperion, as well as some smaller settlements and towns on the dark side of Ayr. The festival is marked with heavy use of fire, phosphorescent body paints, fireworks, and Aether powered glow sticks. Many who pray to the deity by the same name celebrate this day with a vicious fervor. For them, it is seen as a day of defiance against the harsh lands and darkness of Eastern Ayr, as well as an act of defiance against anything or anyone what would snuff out the glorious light of Olympus, such as the Grim Procession, Dark Entity or even Dusk Novans.
