Hyperion

Hyperion was once a grand domed city nestled just within the dark side of central Ayr. It was a place of science, with a lean towards potions, alchemical conversion, and some genetic research with animals. The city contained a palace, a massive observatory, numerous laboratories, as well as habitation facilities. After the frost lich Nedra sent her pet Saxum to devastate the city during an Aether Storm, the city was devasted and has never fully recovered. The only inhabited portions of the city now are Hyperion Palace, a few labs where scientists continue to experiment with alchemy, and the observatory, which was repaired in the years following the attack. It is rumored that the observatory scientists are currently studying the black spot visible on the surface of the gas giant Zeus.
