Ctesiphon

Ctesiphon (/ˈtɛsɪfɒn/; Arxian: ΤΙϺΦϜΕΝ, tisfwen; Boeupseian: Κτησιφῶν), rarely Tisfwen, was an ancient Arxian and later Tira Vellan city along the northern bank of the Hastiates River about 60 kilometres upriver from modern Artheno.
