House Kaad

House Kaad, officially Great House Kaad (Dvekmenu: Ашанай Дома Каадa) was a Dvekmenu Great House that controlled much of northwestern Sossis. A lesser house until 3E773, they secured their place as a great house by marrying into House Plovno before assassinating all of Plovno's heirs. Nicknamed “the black sheep of the white north” (Dvekmenu: "чарна олвка да бяле жузе") they had a reputation among the other houses for treachery, betrayal, and self-centred behaviour. They were often ruthless opportunists, and sought to advance their own position at whatever cost.
House Kaad had a large number of ethnic minorities within their lands, including many Gothalians, Jalmen, and dwarves. This racial heterogeneity led to frequent tensions within the house's land, and these internal struggles and divisions served as a check on House Kaad's external ambitions, as well as a frequent target for other houses seeking to diminish them.
