Jasmine Stokes
A Human woman who began working as a thief at the age of fourteen, and spent the next decade building her criminal career across the United States. Most of this time she worked alone, stealing things that caught her eye. However, after being released from a federal penitentiary in Ghostwood, she organized her act and set up an elaborate network of contacts throughout the state that allowed her to steal high-profile items without much risk of exposure. By the year 2014, she had become a well-known name in the criminal underworld. She now runs a legitimate business, specializing in stolen artwork and rare artifacts, with most of her business originating from clients attempting to retrieve stolen or desired property. Despite the legal legitimacy, Stokes has created a reputation of mystery–going under a fake name and having no known office location. Stokes has an excellent grasp of self defense, including multiple styles of martial arts and weapons usage. She is proficient in firearms, though prefers blades to guns for personal reasons. Stokes suffers from hypervigilance, paranoia, and a general distrust of others. She is cautious of every situation and quick to resort to physically fighting her way out of testy situations. This has made her an exceptional thief, fighter, and escape artist. She reluctantly agreed to join the Institute for Paranatural Control after being recruited by Terrence Vigil, as he saw her as a vital part of his operation.
