Institute for Paranatural Control

Born from the dawn of the nuclear age, the Institute for Paranatural Control (IPC) was originally established as a crisis management agency to oversee the Government Hero Program. This unique division delved into the realm of human genetic experimentation, leading to the creation of a new species known as Meta-Humans. These successful subjects, fortified by their extraordinary abilities, were meticulously trained by specialized military personnel and implanted with a geopoliticial brain chip. In the present day, only three of these government-engineered meta-humans survive. In 1979, the program was abruptly discontinued for reasons classified to this day, and the task of federal vigilante management was passed onto the Ghostwood FBI. However, as the state becomes a convergence point for a myriad of paranatural forces, the federal government has seen fit to revive the IPC. Their renewal comes with a new mission, to probe into the cause of the forces flocking to the West Coast and to neutralize them.
