Church of Daedalus

The Church of Daedalus was established in 5 AC, in the wake of the Divine Purge and the resulting fragmentation of faiths across the world. It was founded by a group of devout believers who sought to bring a sense of unity and purpose to the people, despite the loss of direct divine guidance. They adopted the dogma of an ancient deity, Daedalus, and adapted it to suit their new faith. Though the church's members no longer have direct communication with the gods, they believe that through devotion, study, and adherence to their doctrine, they can still access divine power. This belief is reinforced by the fact that many of the church's most devout followers can indeed wield divine spells.   The Church of Daedalus is organized in a strict hierarchy, with the Archdiocese at the top, followed by the Imperator, Archon, Justicar, Inquisitor, Priscus, and Monk. Each rank has its own responsibilities and duties, ensuring that the church remains well-organized and efficient in pursuing its goals.   The core belief of the Church of Daedalus is that straying from the true path of their doctrine will incur Daedalus' wrath. This has led to a culture of religious persecution against those who do not adhere to the church's teachings. In addition, the church's followers are expected to follow several commandments, which serve as moral guidelines rather than strict laws.   The public agenda of the Church of Daedalus is to provide a sense of purpose and unity to the people of the world, leading them to salvation through service and dedication to the church. Over the centuries, the church has grown significantly in size and influence, and it has played a vital role in bringing people together and fostering a sense of stability in the face of chaos.   Throughout its history, the Church of Daedalus has undergone a few transitions in terms of its interpretation of the doctrine, but the overall message has remained the same: "The shadows of chaos will face the swift justice of the light." The church remains a prominent force in the world, striving to maintain order and righteousness in a world still recovering from the Divine Purge.
