Baldwyn Truethorn, Cedar, Chess, Lynxford, and Sere Watchwithe teleported to Black Shark Bay, and from there sailed to the Corpsefall. They delved down into the undersea trench, and found Yildirim meditating within a gigantic tentacled monster's skull. They fought and slew the Hag, who was controlling the body (that she claimed was Credence), and the Scofflaws returned to Sigur with her head. Cedar attempted to tie the heads together and burn them as instructed by Madam Midnight, but doing so made them disappear, which brought back Chiron and Miirik was pulled away.
