Dawn War
The war that defined Godai, the war between the Divine and the Elementals, and the war that shouldn't have happened.
So before there was Godai, there were the Divine Gods, who created the World out of nothingness, only problem is it wasn't out of nothing it was out of the Elemental Planes, they took energy and physical from all 4 element planes to create the physical, merging and melding them into the world of Godai. Without asking the Elemental Titans if they could use a small amount of material from the planes, The Titans may have agreed, instead the Divine just stole what they required, taking homes and killing a number of creatures from the Planes.
The conflict started with strikes individually by the Titans without coordination without plans and without any chance of success, The Divine Gods and their people of Godai push them back without problems. Then the Concord of the Elements was agreed and Achazar warn the People of Godai that they would face the 4 Titans working together and the full force of the Elemental Planes together.
The War started for real with the opening of the 4 Master Gates across Godai, which changed the areas around them to a greater or lesser degree, the Air Gate ripped the lands from the southern coasts of Mikazu creating the floating islands that in later times became the home of the Tengu and Sunsu the capital of the Crane Imperium. From these gates the elemental forces pushed out and gave each settlement of the Divine a choice of surrender or utter destruction. The Elementals knew the Divine gain power by their worshippers and removing those from the field gave them the upper hand as the war ground on. In the early days of the war the Peoples of Godai refused to give in and fought and died from fire, water, frost, earthquakes and tornados. Over the years following more and more of the Peoples saw the way the war was going and joined the forces of the elemental planes.
The war dragged on over the years, and more and more of the people of godai saw the light and joined the side looking for justice and truth, Dwarves and Humans joined the Elemental Forces. While the elves made a deal with the Fae of the Shadowfell and Faewyld, and escaped to those planes, while the other people died and turned on the thieving divine beings. In the end the Gods tried one last counter attack with a new race that of the Minotaurs, that were brutal and large, but didn't have time to form an civilization or a home and where seen as only weapons by the Divine. The eemental force stop and pushed this final counter back to the gates of Godhomes, and finally had the justice they were looking for, they took Godai for themselves and the Divine were exiled from the world.
