Fireni

The Fireni are the High Elven people who live on the islands of Firen-Lic, just west of Toirecíud. They are an artistic people who produce the most wonderful art, dances and songs on Dain, but they have often been regarded with superstition by their high elven cousin due to their strange traditions and rituals, which includes wearing masks for their entire adulthood.
The fireni came to Dain as slaves fleeing religious persecution in the elven homeland due to their belief in cthonic deities, but have since then stopped worshiping their ancestral gods and taken to the worship of the Raven Queen. They have been ruled for thousands of years by Edrys-familien, and are currently ruled by countess Alvana the Beautiful.
The masks of the Fireni adds to their air of mystique, meeting strangers with faces of their own making. Many consider the Fireni to be strange and uncanny, but they are renown for their art, music and partying that all peoples can appreciate.

NO BUT SERIOUSLY, THE FIRENI ARE VERY LIBERATED FROM ANY IDEALS REGARDING WHAT ANY GENDER SHOULD DO. MOST IDENTIFY AS EITHER MALE OR FEMALE, PUT THIS IS SIMPLY TO MAKE THE BUSINESS OF LOVEMAKING MORE EASY FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED.
