Storm King
The Storm King is the ruler of Tveiharr . The title is symbolised by the kong-rune, a unique magial tattoo reserved for the Storm King, the Scepter of Cold Winds, which commands the winds of Tveiharr, and the Stormgauntlets, magical gauntlets that command lightning and thunder.
Qualifications
A Storm King is expected to be brave, a capable fighter and excellent dragonrider.
Appointment
When the previous Storm King dies, their children must pick one among themselves to succeed them. Their children will often engage in duels, races and competitions to choose the best person for the job, and then the Gold Emperor will crown them Storm King. The Gold Emperor may also pick someone of the Hrith-dynasty to succeed the Storm King in spite of the children's wishes, but this has never happened.
A claimant may also challenge the Storm King if they can prove has failed in their duties. The Storm King must then meet the claimant in a duel to the death.
