Zuggtmoy is the Daemon Lord of rot, decay and rebirth, an abyssal super-organism who seeks the synergy of all living beings. Zuggtmoy is not truly one daemon, rather "she" is an amalgamation of all decay and rot, a dark mirror of the living Feywild. However, Zuggtmoy is a nessecity, she returns life to its crude beginnings in order to make it fertile for new life.
Zuggtmoy often takes the form of a tall female, elf-like creature, but her true form is a great ball of flesh-like fungus growths spreading through the Abyss and Material Plane like a cancer, infecting living beings with mind-control spores to include them into the great symbiotic whole that is Zuggtmoy.

Personal history
The entity that we now know as Zuggtmoy began as a potent weapon of the Abyss during the First War, infecting the everliving forests of the Feywild and bringing them to heel through glorious, pungent decay. Unlike her brother Orcus, Zuggtmoy did not simply kill the beings she consumed, she made them into her, took their essence and lifeforce and made it her own. Zuggtmoy thus began as a growing mound of flesh-like energy and mass in the Abyss, which over centuries slowly gained a semblance of sentience, growing smarter and smarter as it consumed more and more.
As it grew in power, Zuggtmoy began infecting living beings with mind-controlling spores, growing inside of them and affecting them in different ways. Some strains of spores take direct controll over the target's neural systems, while other simply affect them by implanting ideas. In such ways, Zuggtmoy spreads among the living, both humanoids and other daemons.
