Ivelle Calothar
Born within the city of Nadena, Ivelle grew up knowing only the safety and security of the Wall. She was around 14 when the Fall occurred, witnessing the chaos that shook the city to its core. The Wall was raised by the combined efforts of the Swordbearer Nurn and the Truthseer to protect the citizens from outside threats. During this time, Ivelle’s family was among those who believed the Wall was not just a barrier but a sacred structure built to protect them.
When the Swordbearer decided to commit treason to open up the city to outsiders for protection and was tried and publicly executed, the Blade Nurn was cast aside as part of the bearer's heresy. A few years later, her deep-rooted belief in the Wall’s protection almost seemed to make the blade call out to her. The Blade Nurn, sensing her unwavering faith and desire to protect the city called out.
Truthseer Alaric Varro, a seasoned seer who had survived here since the death of his sword bearer one day found the girl with the blade that had not broken. Recognizing Ivelle’s potential, Alaric took her under his wing, teaching her not only the art of wielding the Blade Nurn but also the ancient beliefs that tied the sword to its bindings as a protector. Alaric Varro is an enigmatic figure, known for his wisdom and slightly unorthodox methods. He believes that Ivelle’s bond with the sword is not a coincidence and that the actions taken for her to brandish the blade were guided by the hands of the dark goddess.
Ivelle has become one of the primary guardians of Nadena, using her strength and connection to the sword to defend the city from external threats. Ivelle feels the heavy weight of responsibility—she is driven not just by duty, but by her personal belief that the Wall’s protection is essential for the survival of Nadena.
