The March

The wind is damp and cold. The days are sad and harsh outside. But you are all sitting around the adventurer's table, what would you like to do?

Session info

9-2-15   Diplomacy Diagram not available

Session Template

Each session should start in Rosewood (or another city if the adventurers can get there), here they can prepare for their adventure. Buying General supplies, heath potions, etc.

Travel

Check nearby locations that they pass. In case they are Travel through a level appropriate area you should have 1 (or more) random encounter during the Travel. If they are travelling above their level appropriate area, have each day be a random encounter.   For the encounter itself, look at nearby settlements, quests, roads or dragons. Or look whatever territory of influence is nearest and either check the article for an AREA labelled details and inspiration or think of an appropriate encounter that could generate a hook towards a nearby point of interest.

On location

They get to the location, with either a level that they can't unlock or is too hard for them. A interesting location in the distance or a plot hook they find between the loot. Make sure to give them appropriate XP.

Returning

They Hearthstone back to the The Rosewood Inn. Ending the session after a quick debrief. Give them 100 XP per half hour played. In case they aren't able to return, they die (unless they are in an appropriate ring). Per minor, Major or campaign revealing plot details discovered they should also get extra xp (500, 1000 and 5000 respectively).   Session 0s

Awakening

First Awakening
You feel the life drain out of your body. Your final breath drawn, your final words spoken. As the void seems to take you, the world darkening around you. Time stops, or does it?   You see a great fiery figure destroying everything, you feel the wind tugging on your clothes and your body. There's no sun, no moon, no stars. Just a black sky. And burning fields, burning forests and burning mountains. The fiery giant whacking and slashing at everything he can hit. Until the burning land sinks into the ocean. You rest your eyes as you feel tired.   But now you feel comfortable, the soft warm glowing sun shining on your skin. The soft linnen of the bed cradling you, as you open your eyes to find yourself in a strange bed. An almost empty room. Just the bed, a table, a chair and a stool. A decently sized cabinet. It's a late morning and the sun is shining warmly through the window. You're still in your old clothes from when you died, of which you remember strikingly little. Almost like it was a dream and didn't really happen. As you take a moment to take in your surroundings, in this strange but homely room. You smell fresh bacon and eggs, mix with the faint aroma of a soft woodfire burning. You hear some voice talking downstairs. What do you do?

  Second Awakening
You feel the life drain out of your body. Your final breath drawn, your final words spoken. As the void seems to take you, the world darkening around you. Time stops, or does it?   You see a great fiery figure destroying everything, you feel the wind tugging on your clothes and your body. There's no sun, no moon, no stars. Just a black sky. And burning fields, burning forests and burning mountains. The fiery giant whacking and slashing at everything he can hit. Until the burning land sinks into the ocean. You rest your eyes as you feel tired.   But not for long, the cold stone floor isn't comfortable. You open your eyes and sit upright. A large cloaked figure standing above you. "Let us try this again. Shall we?" You awaken in your bed again.

  Third Awakening
You feel the life drain out of your body. Your final breath drawn, your final words spoken. As the void seems to take you, the world darkening around you. Time stops, or does it?   It doesn't. With a fading memory of a fiery giant, you can feel your essence being transported. You're being carried. You've gone through this process 3 times now and you're prepared. Being able to observe your surrounding you feel yourself being pulled between realms. You can see the world from up above, it's four corners being held up by creatures you don't have enough time to identify. The sky made out of a surprising material but you can't think long enough about it to remember it.   But eventually, whatever or whoever was carying you drops you off. In a dark, cold tomb. The cloaked figure welcoming you. "Welcome Adventurer. It seems you have been given another chance." You get taken away to your room before you have the chance to react or even to think as you can hear the shrouded figure proclaim:
"wine to carry, as for a king's coming. Here to me I expect heroes coming from the world, certain great ones, so my heart is glad."

  Fourth Awakening
You feel the life drain out of your body. Your final breath drawn, your final words spoken. As the void seems to take you, the world darkening around you. Time stops, or does it?   play   You feel yourself being carried upwards as if you're almost weightless but still being pulled, your body you can see lying on the floor in front of you. You hear the voices start to sing.   0:13 voices start   The soft flapping *flap flap* of what you can see now is their feathery white wings providing a rythm to their song. This angel you can see is clad in battle armor and she is not alone. In fact she's accompanied by a dozen or so other female battle angels, some of them flying, some of them riding pegasi. These angels clad in golden armor, with purple accents, wield great swords and glistering magical weapons you swear you've seen or felt before.   1:00   As you're being pulled away from the battlefield you've just perished at. You can see the surroundings, your lifeless body, almost as if it is frozen in time. The details shrink in size as you move further and further upwards, over the clouds into the light of sun and moon. Giving you an overview of the larger world. The trees make way for the fields, the fields make way for the mountains in the distance, eventually you can even see upon the sea that is oh so distant.   And you recognise it.   1:34 Horns and strings blare and music picks up   It's not hard to Imagine, remove the sun, make the sky black instead of Blue. Those mountains in the distance, those fields, those trees. Burning, wreathed in fire, fill the air with streams of black smoke and clouds of ash. The visions you've experienced are in this place. No, 2:00 They are this place. You can almost see the fire giant standing right there. In fact, you can imagine it so well you can see where the giant would be standing. You can nearly see the crater it's standing in. Almost becoming tranced by the exact location you know the giant stands in your dreams, your gaze becomes locked on the location. The location you know all so well...   2:28 Voices restart   Rosewood. Now the angels' song picks up in volume. Becoming louder and louder with each stroke of their angelic wings. And your imigination is no longer just that. As you're moving at increasingly fast speeds the world keeps shifting between what seems like. time. 2:50 You can see the mountain tops melt and just a second later be filled with snow. You can see Rosewood as the triving town you know, but not a moment later aflame and being stomped on by the great world ending figure you've seen before. You can see forests coming and going in a single breath. And through all the chaos and strife you can feel the determination of the angels who, by now, you notice, are flying you straight towards the giant.   3:21 Second peak   A moment of panic reaches your mind as your vision seems to catch legions of flying and running soldiers attacking the giant. You can see an army of the flying angels that seem to be carrying you towards your destiny and you almost feel as if you and your friends are a part of this battle of which you do not know the outcome, nor the instant it has, will or might happen.   3:48 Melancholy/Ominous part begins   But you don't have time to think. You don't have time to do, because the angels are diving towards the crater, towards Rosewood, towards the ground... 3:55 You feel the pain of the impact of the ground. Even though you know you're not harmed. Finding yourself in the complete darkness you hear the *stone door noise* a giant stone door opening as all you can feel is the soft orange glowing energy of Rig's eyes.   4:15 Voices restart   He opens the door before you to enter a tomb so large, it in itself, almost seems like a knot and takes you a second to cross. Atop the final raised platform at the end, before the great glass stained windows stands the cloaked figure that welcomed you into the world more than once before. He proclaims:   4:41 Music dies down   "I awakened the einherjar, I asked them to get up to strew the benches, to rinse the drinking cups. For heroes are coming from the world, certain great ones, so my heart is glad."   Now finally you understand. The pain you feel right now is better not remembered. Your body reconstructing around your soul. A single stone being pulled from your essence you can see it being carved by the figure who's cloak contains the galaxy of thousand worlds. As the darkness seems to take you from the immense and unbearable pain. You awaken in your room in The Rosewood Inn, once again.   Taking a moment to remember what happened exactly and take your surroundings in once again. You open your chamber's door eventually, only to find Wednesday standing in front of it. Carrying a golden chalice, you can see it's filled with red wine as he gives it to you he says: "Wine to carry, as for a kings coming." with a smile. Before leaving for his sofa downstairs once more.
