Castaregna

Castaregna is a southerly island off the coast of Halasatra. A vast desert sits at its centre, with massive crystalline peaks jutting out from the sands. The crystal mountains crackle with an arcane energy, giving rise to all manner of strange occurrences and beasts within the shores of Castaregna.
Castaregna is also the location of Maricia, an oasis city that plays host to the Crystal Archivists. The Crystal Archivists are a group of scholars, librarians, sorcerers and sages that study the strange effects of the crystalline formations found on Castaregna. Among the Crystal Archives, one can find a large number of Gem Dragonborn, drawn to the area for obvious reasons.


Castaregnan Cuisine:
Castaregna shares much of the cuisine of Halasatra, with exception of a few specialty dishes developed by the scholars of the Crystal Archives. Gem Dragonborn, as it turns out, have quite the sweet tooth.

Crystalberry Shaved Ice
This delicious dessert treat is perfect for cooling down after a hot day in the Crystal Desert. The ice is chilled through magical means, then finely shaved and topped with a gemberry syrup. Crystalberries are a delicate little crystalline fruit that grow along the vines of the oasis of Maricia.
Gem Brulee
A delicate egg custard, sweetened with a dash of Crystalberry syrup and heated to a perfect golden brown topping by a choice of either fire crystals or dragonsbreath.
