Hearthhope

A settlement that is too small to be called a city but too large to be called a village. The town of Hearthhope has a main street with several shops and food stalls along it. In its main square, one of the town’s pride and joy’s is the Statue of the Hero, a monument with a vague name due to the fact that it was built to honour a nameless hero that saved the town ages ago, but is missing it’s head, resulting in the gradual loss of the identity of the Hero over several centuries.   The town has a ruler that lives in a manor on the hill. Her name is Lady Edith Bailey and she is an almost middle-aged woman that never wed, leaving her house currently without an heir.   Due to Lady Bailey's fondness for them, the town celebrates a great many festivals throughout the year, adding in new ones as the years go by. The town has a reputation for being very safe, and even Lady Bailey walks the streets with only one guard at her side.

Architecture

The town is built into the side of the forest, along a hill. As such, the town is at an incline, with Lady Bailey's manor sitting at the highest point. There are many bridges throughout the town used to cross over several rivers and waterfalls that flow through Hearthhope.
