The Rangers of Averlyn

The Royal Rangers of Averlyn are an organization of warriors, hunters, spellcasters and scholars that are dedicated to the protection of Averlyn. Their symbol is an eight-pointed star, resembling a compass rose. Their members wear a silver clasp or badge that bears this image. At their inception they operated separately to Crown, but as of recently, the Crown has begun to pay them for their dedication to the kingdom. They are a separate entity to His Majesty's Royal Army and don't answer to the Lords or Lord Commander as superiors. That said, their continued existence is allowed by the throne and therefore they must show proper respect to the noble houses of Averlyn. Ranger Leadership:

Captain Harlan Aventine (Deceased) (Former Captain of the foreign division in Lyrethia)

Captain Lavender Revelle (Newly appointed Captain of the foreign division in Lyrethia)

Captain Sherwood (Captain of the foreign division in the Barrowdowns)

Captain Murnur Barrelbreaker (Captain of the foreign division in Carcasonne)

Structure

The Rangers operate in barracks spread out across all of Averlyn. They have also established foreign barracks in their neighbouring countries in order to better monitor the wellbeing of the realm. Each barracks has a Captain that has been placed in charge and room enough to allow the members of that division to live.
