The Vigil of Brava
Across the realm, the Vigil of Brava stands watch over the injured, the needy and the unwell. Made up of paladins, clerics, herbalists and alchemists, the Vigil are an order dedicated to the word of the sun goddess, Brava. Their ranks travel all across the Star of Lorien, seeking those in need of aid.
Many Vigil bastions and priories exist across the realm, but the Vigil's true home is Holyanne, the great cathedral city in Auld Bastila. It is there that their leaders convene to make decisions for the entire Vigil.
A member of the order is known as a Vigilant. Vigilants take many forms and perform many tasks in the name of Brava. Some act as healers, some work to feed the poor and hungry. Others set out to rid the realm of undead, in whatever dark corner they may lurk.
Roles After Joining the Vigil:
1. Healer. You either travel around the realm or set up an establishment in a single spot in order to heal the commonfolk of diseases, ailments and injuries.
2. Paladin. A holy order of knights that represent the word of Brava. They defend the commonfolk and fight against anything that would harm them.
3. Undead Hunter. A smaller, more specialized division of the Vigil. These hunters track occurrences of the dead coming back to life and seek out the sources in order to allow the dead to rest once more.
4. Alchemist. The alchemists of the Vigil dedicate their time to finding new ways to cure ailments. They can be found brewing new concoctions, tinctures and potions in their workshops and laboratories, and have been known to pay handsome sums to those who can obtain rare ingredients for them.
