Fiend
The simplest form of Numenous creature. Fiends did not exist before the death of the Demiorgos but have emerged as a result of their demise, casting a shadow over the daily life of everyone in Dis. Even after two and a half generations, a reliable method of their removal has yet to present itself. However it’s still plenty possible to scatter them; any futility involved doesn’t stop anyone with a good sword arm from clearing them out and protecting themselves and their stuff.
As the concept of an idea (or most of one) incarnate, Fiends are as diverse as Dis itself, and as such, understanding a Fiend’s origin is invaluable in understanding how to kill it.
